Application Process

Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue has many great donkeys available for adoption all across the United States.  In order for a donkey to be adoptable they must be people friendly, they must accept a halter and allow all four hooves to be picked up for trimming.  Unlike the wild burros made available through the BLM, all of the Peaceful Valley Donkeys are ready to enjoy. Adopting a donkey is an easy process:

1.  Download our Adoption Policy and read it through carefully.
2. Find a PVDR Satellite Adoption Center closest to you.  (We are always looking for new SAC Volunteers so please check back often.  New locations are always opening.)
3. Fill out our online Application Form. or click here to print and mail your application*
4. Schedule an appointment to meet the donkeys.
5. Once you have been approved and have chosen your donkey(s), transportation can then be arranged to get your donkeys home.
